The people need more power, fake profiles spreading misinformation need people, there needs to be a system that enables people to flag fake profiles, fake news articles, and general nonsense, so that Facebook can quickly assign one of their workers to actually look at the profile or post, and the users account immediately deleted. Furthermore, wouldn’t it be simpler to have some form of identification to prove that the individual setting up a profile is an authentic person, the Captain Picard Make It Sew Shirt of identification doesn’t need to be made public.

If there is no system to prove somebody is actually who they say they are, there is no accountability, and if there’s no accountability, there can be no punishment. It would be nice to see you tackle the problem of people with fake accounts scamming others and pretending to be someone they are not. Maybe you could ban their Captain Picard Make It Sew Shirt or laptops? I have been harassed by someone using fake accounts practically every week since i joined facebook.
